Product Recall/Guarantee Insurance

Product recall is a specialist form of insurance. Cover is usually purchased by manufacturers and distributors of goods to help protect them against the costs of their product causing bodily injury or damage, due to an unintentional error, after they have been consumed or used as intended.

Product Guarantee insurance is similar to product recall cover, however, it covers the insured if there is a problem or fault with the product, whether it is dangerous or not. The fault could come from the design, installation or manufacture of the product and the cover will help protect against the cost of reworking, replacing or recovering the product due to it failing to perform to its intended purpose.
